Reducing Barriers to Entrepreneurship

The certification process needs major improvement. Too many unique application and approval processes all requiring the same information and long cycle times. An analysis of the core and common data required across all agencies needs to be conducted. The small business would only have to entered this information one time and then submit agency-specific data as opportunity arises. This process improvement would greatly enhance the efficiency of the certification process, would reduce the paperwork burden and would create a consistent representation of the small business across all agencies. CCR is a start, but not as robust as it should/could be.
