Give it up for Goldman Sachs!
How about giving a Trillion dollars to Goldman Sachs and the rest of the banking gangsters? Oh wait! We already tried that. Nevermind.

I suggest you hire the Mafia to do distressed SBA loan workouts. I've been through it with both and when it comes to integrity and dependability, the Mafia has the SBA beat hands down. They might get a little rough at times, but you can negotiate with the Mafia, know what they agree to will stick and they move fast.

I suggest you legalize marijuana at the federal level and let the states decide what to do about it. Many will follow rather quickly, creating jobs in cultivation, distribution and retail, tax revenue for the government, an improvement in our trade balance, and a bit less revenue for the drug gangs.

Renovate the homeless shelters across the country. Develop new rules. Most of them where I live were in bad shape. Make sure some funding goes from programs for non - profit of the cities to the small shelters which are independently operating and trying to survive.

I suggest that all surgical procedures be recorded with cameras and placed on CDs which become part of the medical record. This would protect patients and doctors from errors by doctors and frivolous litigation by patients.

Add the ability to vote against a particular idea. Consider adding a feature such as Discus to this board. This will allow users to more efficiently communicate their support, or lack thereof for a particular idea. This improvement in efficiency will allow me to return to the work of building a new business.

support the start up visa! plenty of new start ups are coming out from the silicon valley, they could create many new american jobs if only they could hire the right engineer out of the cs stanford department. Unfortunately, they cannot because he/she is, with 50% probability, a foreginer, and start ups have a hard time giving a visa.

We can solve this problem in one fell swoop. We need to encourage investors, entrepreneurs, corporate America and Local/State/Federal government agencies to support and invest in Plasma Arc Gasification Technology. This technology is a clean mechanism to turn waste into electricty thus ending the need for commercial landfills. This technology is being used in Seatle, Ontario Canada and all through out Europe and Africa. The Denver Zoo, in Colorado has invested in this idea to produce heat and electricity for their Asian Tropics Exhibit. Gasification technology is a clean and efficient mechanism to turn waste into power. I would love to see traditional landfills become a foot note in history.

The Federal government should support ideas that are past ideation phase and already proving their model. Community Renaissance Market is a 60,000 square foot grocery store repurposed into a microbusiness incubator containing 40+ businesses, an accessible technology training and placement program for people with disabilities, and an apprentice training program for foster children ages 18-22 as part of Foster Apprentice Training Enterprises. In the 6 months of daily management of this bootstrapped venture, we have brought CRM to break-even and have our first outside investor, with others positioned to invest as the model is refined and replicated. Community Renaissance Market has been profiled in Community Impact News; Austin Business Journal; News 8; Channel 24 News; ABC World News with Diane Sawyer; an upcoming "Entrepreneur" series on KLRU/PBS; and will be featured on a reality show filming June 2011 expected to air Fall 2011.
To better reflect the purpose of CRM to incubate businesses which meet the criteria of 'Sustainable Local Organic Work', we have begun the trademark process for the “SLOW Tech Incubator™” concept in which businesses are positioned for sustainable success since they reflect the local community needs.
Even during this economic downturn, CRM is succeeding. We are revitalizing an old building, creating community and, most importantly, we are positioning more people for a sustainable financial future.

I put countless hours and my own resources into the development and I hate the fact that if a small minority wanted to take my idea they could. In addition I am scared to put my work online since I feel my work is no longer protected by the fourth amendment. I have no money to get a patent, any ideas?

I believe that my inventions may add two to three million jobs within the next three to five years. I have two inventions that I am currently working on and I have eight more lined up ready to be rolled out. People want jobs and that is why I am here working hard to make sure we can continue to hold on to the American Dream.

Dear Mr. President,
The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (N.O.R.M.L.) has submitted a petition to re-schedule marijuana from Schedule I to a less restrictive status. This was accepted in April of 2003. This petition has been 'hung-up' for the past eight years. Please help those who want to eliminate black-market-fueled criminal activities and are poised to succeed as legitimate cannabis entrepreneurs without facing jail time, loss of assets and financial ruin. I recall your response to whether or not you inhaled marijuana: "Isn't that the idea?"
One click of your "bic" would improve the lives of thousands of entrepreneurs in a multi-billion dollar industry. This decision to approve NORML's re-scheduling petition is simply a 'no-brainer.' Please do so now sir. My vote for you will depend upon it. With Respect, @JackieWellbaum

Invest in Community Based organizations that provide facilities and training for business and job opportunities.
This is where the local wisdom, assets, and appropriate programs originate.Far too many communities recruit business or tourists and do not capitalize on the entrepreneurial spirit within. CBO's build from within, particularly in rural areas and communities of color.
