Create a program to provide grants to students to enable them to work on their own startups during the summer and afford rent/food when they aren't getting loan disbursements (without resorting to paid internships that don't allow time to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors).

Entrepreneurs, such as myself, need operating capital for the first 3 years of business. Eliminate oil subsidies and re-direct funding to small AMERICAN enterprises that require operating capital for the first 3 years of operations. Re-invest in American business by supporting struggling, American entrepreneurs with operational grants.

Consider distributing early stage startup grant funds directly to qualified entrepreneurs and encourage them to purchase the support support services that they may need from business and technical professionals. Get the incubators out of the training business and encourage them to provide hands on work in support of the entrepreneurs who are attempting to create business and jobs. Do the same thing for SCORE. Get SCORE ...more »

Do the same thing for SCORE. Get SCORE to provide teams that can do real work. Require entrepreneurs or an associate to have a business degree from a college or university before distributing grants.
