At present our public libraries have been rendered mostly irrelevant. Entrepreneurism is not something that can be learned in the classroom. It has to be learned in the field - actually doing it. Coordination between high school and college - and the local small business community would provide a "transition bridge" for young entrepreneurs to hone their skills. Problem: When SBIR RFPs are released they are often outdated and behind in terms of what the private sector needs.
Solution: Create a two-way communication mechanism that takes into account private sector needs before an SBIR RFP is issued.
