Improving SBIR RFPs

Problem: When SBIR RFPs are released they are often outdated and behind in terms of what the private sector needs.

 

Solution: Create a two-way communication mechanism that takes into account private sector needs before an SBIR RFP is issued.

Entrepreneurial mentoring program

Entrepreneurism is not something that can be learned in the classroom. It has to be learned in the field - actually doing it. Coordination between high school and college - and the local small business community would provide a "transition bridge" for young entrepreneurs to hone their skills. Convert libraries to Innovation Co-working Incubators

At present our public libraries have been rendered mostly irrelevant. Aside from helping those without technology access and providing an after school safe haven for "lock key kids," their usefulness is limited. But it doesn't need to that way.
