  Create jobs - Buy American

  I suggest that The President and Congress start a Buy American campaign. It will create jobs and have a positive patriotic impact. Companies that manufacture, sell and buy American Made products should be given financial incentive to do so. The resulting increase in employment will more than offset any cost. I use the Souvenir and Gift Market as an example. That market is huge. The majority of products are produced off ...more »

  I use the Souvenir and Gift Market as an example. That market is huge. The majority of products are produced off shore. Let's encourage small businesses to take that market back. Use the power of the people who actually buy these products. Let them help manufacture these goods by putting them to work.

  Create jobs and businesses - Buy American

  Our government can generate thousands of new jobs/businesses if all of our National and State Parks purchased only American Made products to sell as souvenirs and gifts in their shops. I make pottery. If I supplied just mugs to State and National Parks in Tennessee I would have to add several employees. Expand this to glass, leather, wood, plastic, fabric, printed things on a nationwide basis and we can start to build ...more »
